The Design Story
rekhayeinRekhayeinWoven by the trio of artists and best friends, this Manchaha is a celebration of precision, patience, and perfect harmony. At first glance, it's the symmetry that strikes you. But the real magic lies in the rhythm of the lines. Like silent conversations passed across the loom, each woman picked up from where the other left off. Their hands moved in sync, yet each brought her own beat to the pattern. Look closely. The chevrons rise and fall like breath, like thoughts moving between them. But it wasn’t always perfect. There were disagreements, moments where one wanted yellow and the other chose black. There were days one loom sat still because one of them couldn’t make it—tending to a fever, a festival, or a family chore. Yet the harmony never broke. Instead of scattering, the pattern adjusted. Instead of clashing, the colors learned to lean on each other. The Rekhayein (Lines) reflects the human behind them tied in harmony, even through differences.
