The Design Story
khushiKhushiShail Devi and Khushi are a mother-daughter pair who consistently craft Manchahas together. While seated at the loom, they would share their dreams and future aspirations, all while creating new designs for the rug. This cherished tradition was coming to an emotional end with this particular Manchaha, as Khushi was about to get married. In their final Manchaha together, they wove a beautiful garden of roses at the bottom, surrounded by butterflies. As they progressed to the second half, they incorporated more intricate and traditional designs featuring farms and flowers. Upon completing the rug, Shail Devi emotionally expressed that this Manchaha holds a special place in her heart, as it embodies memories of her daughter and their time together. She named this creation after her daughter, "Khushi," which also signifies "Happiness."
