The Design Story
upawanUpawanSoniya has named her Manchaha ‘Upawan’ which is the Sanskrit word for garden which she is aware of as she teaches her kids at home. Her textile garden in the form of her Manchaha features leaves and flowers of vibrant colours that she saw when she visited Jaipur. She has punctuated the design with a brick wall, poles on the road, as well as the traditional motifs of the shakkarpara.
