The Design Story
shaktiShaktiAanchi and Manisha have named their Manchaha ‘Shakti’. ‘Shakti’, in Hindi, means ‘energy’ or ‘strength’. Aanchi and Manisha say that the Manchaha gives them strength and ‘shakti’, to get through what they are going through, and strive towards better days. Manisha says that it is because of the rugs that she is able to pay fees for her education. For Aanchi, the Manchaha is what helps her earn a livelihood.
