The Design Story
parindon ka jhundParindon Ka JhundManju has woven the masterpiece - Parindon ka Jhund, which, when translated to English, means the flock of birds. She was instructed by her mother to feed the birds from the very beginning. Her mother used to tell her that not only it’s a noble cause, but it’s also believed that feeding them will bring prosperity to those who feed them. So, that’s a usual ritual of her everyday life, pretty much like carpet weaving. Once, when she visited Amber Fort, she fed a flock of pigeons. After munching over grains, all of them took flight. The rushed feeling of freedom & the beautiful sight persuaded her to weave the rug inspired by that. She wishes that this beautiful creation of her at anybody’s home also bring prosperity to their family.
