The Design Story
rang bikhrayeRang BikhrayeChavi, Priti, Mansi, and Kalpana have named their Manchaha 'Rang Bikhraye', which in English means 'spread colors'. Chavi, Priti & Mansi started this Manchaha to weave their creativity, taking inspiration from kites and its tail. After she turned 18 during Holi time, Kalpana was also curious to learn to weave, seeing their sister working on this Manchaha the whole day. So, after the middle part of the rug, we see 4 different designs incorporated by four of them. Even being suggested to put the colors together in one section. They said that it's their Manchaha, and they are happy to spread colors like it's done in Holi.
