The Design Story
madhu ki grihastiMadhu Ki GrihastiMadhu Devi’s Manchaha “Madhu Ki Grihasti” portrays her love for her surroundings and her day-to-day lifestyle. Throughout her Manchaha, Madhu has woven patterns inspired by small leaves and flowers which can be witnessed on the left-hand side of her Manchaha. At the center of her Manchaha, she tried weaving her house window beautifully by hand-knitting wool and silk threads into her rug. Madhu had big gallons of water cans stored at her house while she was weaving her Manchaha, seeking inspiration from the same she had woven big gallons of water at the bottom of her Manchaha. She has also weaved a small home, hidden at the top of her Manchaha. Expressing her imagination, Madhu weaves her Manchaha using the little things around her as inspiration.
