puraani yaadeinPuraani YaadeinThis carpet is the first creation of Mamta and Kavita, while Mohini, who has crafted a few Manchahas with her mother already at her maternal home, brings experience to their trio. Mamta recalls her childhood, watching intricate designs unfold in her maternal home. These memories, like flowers and geometric shapes, now came alive on this carpet. Guided by Mohini's expertise, Kavita follows her lead—The former's creative touch and a sharp eye for designs around her shaped their intricately hand-knotted wool and silk rug. Mohini's favorite sweet, Gulab Jamun, inspires her to weave a cushion, incorporating its captivating designs using varied colors of yarn. This collaborative masterpiece weaves together creativity, memories, and guidance. It reflects their unique journeys and passions, evident in the name they give it – "Puraani Yaadein" (Old Memories). Through their work, they create patterns and thread the essence of their shared experiences and individual inspirations.
