neela galichaNeela galicha Design Story:Leading a simple life in the village, Lada’s dream is to someday own the biggest diamond in the world. Undeterred by reality, she lives her fancy on her first Manchaha design. She weaved hundreds of diamonds, of different shapes, different sizes and colors. She likes blue color, and has used it the most in her rug. When the rug was half completed, she got ill and had to stop working for a few days. When she started again, her mind had changed. She completed the rug with a big multi colored diamond towards the lower part surrounded by abstract design patterns. She calls it “Neela galicha”(blue carpet), as in the end, she feels that her love for blue color was the only constant throughout the rug.
