The Design Story
adhoori raahAdhoori RaahAdhoori Raah" is Sonu's intricately hand-knotted rug, his manchaha that embodies a life's narrative through its threads. He was only interested in schooling the days of the 15th of August or when festivals were celebrated. These unfinished steps echo a disengaged connection with formal education, where he stepped less often. The rug's design extends to commemorate school days' honors, where top achievers stood first, second, and third. Sonu, untouched by this recognition, traces his disinterest in school. Greenery, trees, plants, water-filled utensils, and familiar grounds weave around his home's essence, telling stories of his dwelling. Amongst this familiarity lies an incomplete path, embodying the roads untaken, opportunities missed, and moments left unfulfilled—a reminder of life's open-ended journey. "Kathinaai ki Adhoori Raah" is not just a rug. It's a glimpse into Sonu's life, where each thread reveals choices, divergent paths, and the touching beauty of an incomplete yet uniquely lived existence.
