moroccon (c.1990)This Moroccan rug, hand-knotted in 1990. The field, awash in a inviting medium peach, is vertically organized into distinct lanes. Some lanes feature tall, stacked diamond motifs, each one a burst of color with vibrant pinks, refreshing teals, and grounded earthy shades. Other lanes present slender columns of delicate, stylized tribal elements. The rug is encircled by a bold border, where large "X" patterns and abstract floral forms repeat providing a strong frame to the rug's compelling vertical design.
