Derbent rugs, originating from the city of Derbend in Dagestan, now part of the Russian Republic of Dagestan, boast a rich weaving heritage dating back to ancient times. These rugs, characterized by their bold and coarse nature, exhibit distinct features such as larger size, longer pile, and fewer colors compared to typical Dagestan rugs.
