The Design Story
sheh aur maatSheh Aur MaatLadda Devi’s Manchaha “Sheh Aur Maat” highlights their love and innovation for weaving delicate patterns. Ladda Devi loves leheriya and is very fond of their sarees, bangles and dupattas. However she wishes her Manchaha carpets to be one of a kind and does not wish to weave plain leheriya patterns. Therefore she seeks this as her motivation and ensures to innovate each and every pattern she weaves, seeking inspiration from the little things around her. This Manchaha seeks its inspiration from a “Chess Board'' as Ladda Devi weaves delicate leheriya with black and white yarns in a criss-cross manner throughout their dynamic hand-knotted rug. Weaving leheriya in an innovative style is Ladda Devi’s signature art which she is very proud of. Her Manchaha embraces the beauty of self belief and the eagerness to stand out of the crowd with all of her courage.Weaving Manchaha with us has given Ladda Devi the confidence to make decisions for herself and her family.
