The Design Story

khet se manchaha tak

Khet Se Manchaha Tak
Govind, a farmer from Hardoi, blends his love for agriculture with weaving. His Manchaha rug mirrors the fields he nurtures—zigzag furrows, earthy browns, and cool blues reflecting soil and water. The upper motifs honor Chikankari embroidery, crafted by village women, while the geometric blocks recall handmade decorative fans stitched from old fabrics. The repeating diamonds symbolize woven dreams, passed through generations. Tiny flowers stand as a tribute to the wild blossoms after rain. For Govind, weaving is like farming—nurturing life, one knot at a time. His rug, "Khet Se Manchaha Tak," celebrates both worlds in harmony.
