The Design Story
bachpan ke khelBachpan Ke KhelChildhood carries the simplest of joys, made even more special by the little games we used to play. The weavers of this Manchaha rug fondly recalled these playful moments and decided to imbibe them into their creation permanently. They crafted colorful spinning tops alongside vibrant kites, each symbolizing the carefree days of their youth. With laughter, they showed off the wooden spinning tops they still own, admitting their love for playing with them. Their design also features a road and a river running side by side. The river, depicted with “Lehereiya” (wavy) patterns, a classic, flowing gracefully. Sridevi and Rinki named their creation “Bachpan ke Khel” – “Games of Childhood” – a nostalgic tribute to the simple pleasures and cherished memories of their early years across the hand-knotted rug.
