The Design Story
deesha ka gyanDeesha ka GyanSoni, Narendra, and Vinod crafted their final Manchaha piece with a heartfelt message that resonates deeply with the weavers. Titled “Deesha ka Gyan,” which translates to “The Knowledge of the Direction,” it emphasizes the importance of pausing long enough to determine your next step. The striking, chevron-like lines in the center draw your gaze downward while simultaneously anchoring you in place, as if you are standing at a crossroads. The weavers have incorporated sharp, straight, hazy, and zig-zag paths that represent the various choices life presents. The upper section exudes a sense of quiet energy, with jagged lines converging inward and a brick wall at the center. Two arrows point in opposite directions, resembling a compass. Through these intricate motifs, the weavers convey that while life offers multiple paths, it is essential to take a moment, refrain from hasty decisions, and select the right direction.
