The Design Story

kharab mausam ki nav

Kharab Mausam ki Nav
Arbind Yadav, Durga Lal, and Birbal Pratan are men of similar age who became friends while weaving a carpet. Durga and Arbind had already discussed how their Manchaha would look, with Arbind opting for warm colors that he liked and Durga choosing his favorite light colors. During Diwali, they went for parole, and after returning, they included the design of the Rangoli from their homes in their weaving. Arbind also weaved clouds into their Manchaha. Birbal, who had recently learned to weave, added little elements to the sides of the carpet. He created various leaves, apples, a boat, an umbrella, and chips. He also weaved a boat next to his name to represent his time at sea. Additionally, he tried to make two large ships from green and blue colors when Arbind was weaving brown clouds on a stormy day in the blue sky.
