The Design Story
prakritiPrakritiRajani's journey into weaving this rug began with the inspiration she found in the tranquil early mornings of her village. Drawn to the beauty of nature and an affection for animals, she skillfully portrays their free-spirited essence in her creation. From the very start of her weaving adventure, she dreams of using her earnings to build a two-story house for her family. As she weaves, she intricately brings to life the flooring tiles for her future home through her wool and silk yarns, manifesting her aspirations through her craft while hand-knotting each thread. Although she dreams big, Rajani's heart remains rooted in her humble village, where she cherishes the connection with nature and the tranquility it brings. She names her rug "Prakriti" (Nature), a reflection of her deep bond with the natural world that inspires her every creation.
