The Design Story
haathon ki kalaHaathon ki KalaManju, an exceptionally gifted artist, began by sharing the story of her father, a sculptor renowned for creating statues of various Indian Gods and Goddesses. With deep gratitude, she explained that her father’s artistry had inspired her own talent for weaving carpets. Manju believes that aligning oneself with art is essential for a fulfilling life. In her latest creation, she has incorporated her beloved leheriya (wavy) design, skillfully blending and distributing colors to achieve a serene aesthetic. Infused with a touch of modernity, this rug reflects Manju’s profound appreciation for her father’s artistic legacy. The finished piece is named “Haathon ki Kala,” which translates to “Art of the Hands,” symbolizing the craftsmanship and artistic influence she inherited.
