The Design Story
jaani dushmanJaani DushmanKrishan Heeralal Yadav, 35, and Rangpal Singh, 27, named their carpet "Jaani Dushman" due to their love-hate relationship as mentor and mentee. While weaving it, they were joined by Rajendra, Jagdish, and Kamal, who constantly fought over the fan side of the loom. The design of the carpet has a left-pointed arrow showing the rotation for the fan side, as different people progressed with each other's designs. Rangpal weaved a bichu 'scorpion,' while Jagdish weaved ice cream after switching sides. The carpet also features a design of a man, which was completed by Krishan after Jagdish shifted to the fan side.
