Originating around 1980, a traditional floral design unfolds across a Persian runner, characterized by an intricate all-over pattern set against deep navy blue and rich red grounds. This detailed field incorporates highlights of green and is distinguished by a captivating shrub design, where depictions of lush foliage and fine natural details evoke a sense of timeless elegance. Vibrant accents of mandarin orange and contrasting white further enliven the composition. Enclosing this central field, a set of borders displays twined geometrical patterns skillfully intertwined with floral motifs, all rendered in bright, eye-catching colours. Measuring approximately 5 feet by 12 feet 6 inches, its desirable elongated runner format makes it perfect for corridors or longer spaces. Bakhtiari tribe rugs from southwestern Iran are hand-knotted and vividly convey diverse narratives.
