Bidjar, originating from a small Kurdish town in western Iran, is renowned for its exceptionally durable carpets. Characterized by their compact and strong construction, Bidjar carpets are woven with Turkish knots, ensuring longevity and resilience. Weavers in Bidjar utilize heavy combs made of metal and wood to beat the weft and knots, resulting in a pile that stands upright, preventing debris from embedding into the surface.
