The Design Story
phoolon ka khilnaPhoolon ka KhilnaLalita Devi’s Manchaha is like a garden seen through a slow walk, full of delicate motifs and decorative patterns. Each section blooms with its own patterns. The deep greens carry the memory of fields after rain and the softness of leaves swaying with the wind. There are sections that are woven to portray the process of flowers blooming - some flower buds, some half-open flowers, and some fully bloomed flowers. Lalita also has woven fences that protect the flowers and plants in her garden. With a deep love for flowers and gardening clearly seen in her Manchaha, she named her rug “Phoolon ka Khilna,” which means “The Blooming of Flowers.”
