The Design Story

sapno ki sadak

Sapno ki Sadak
As they weave their dreams into reality, Sanjay, Susheel, and Sachin created a Manchaha rug named "Sapno ki Sadak," featuring a road-like design at its center. The title translates to "Road of Dreams," symbolizing the significance of aspirations in their lives. They find satisfaction in the freedom to weave Manchaha rugs and carefully plan each step before starting. They started the rug with Sachin's idea to incorporate the English letter "E" into the design, arranging multiple letters in a neat pattern. They also weaved overlapping stripes, with one stripe extending from corner to corner. To make the rug more intricate, they added tiny dots known as "Bindiyaan." Among these dots, they included designs resembling Indian sweets like "Shakarpara" and "Kaju Katli." The weavers shared how weaving has improved their concentration, helping them stay engaged and avoid afternoon naps, which leads to better sleep at night. For them, weaving brings a sense of empowerment and fulfillment.
