The Design Story
laadliLaadliSaraswati named her Manchaha “Laadli” which means ‘darling.’ This carpet expresses her yearning for a beloved daughter. Being a mother of four sons, she wishes for a daughter in the household. She weaved a bright butterfly which symbolizes a joyous girl child. There are endless scenarios in her mind on how she will raise her. She tried to incorporate the love into the carpet which she wants to bestow to a daughter.
