The Design Story
toranToranWhen Dhafali Devi ran out of ideas for what to weave, she simply began paying closer attention to the world around her. One pattern caught her eye: the "Toran", a type of door hanging. For her, it has always symbolised celebration and good fortune. She told us how her family lived for years in a small, unfinished house in the village. After a long period of her and her husband’s hard work, they were finally able to build a proper cement home. She still remembers the moment she hung a toran at the door of that new house. It felt like a quiet triumph. She wove that memory into this Manchaha, knot by knot, sharing the sense of prosperity and joy she felt that day.
