The Design Story
‘billu’‘Billu’‘Billu’ is the Hindi word for cat, and this carpet got its name from Prem’s son’s obsession with cats. While she was weaving this rug, she had found her son bringing cats into the home a few times, till she now associates this carpet with the cats. While this Manchaha was in finishing, Prem started appreciating the cats that showed up, because it helped keep the mice away from her kitchen. Infact when she was shown the rug afterward, she heard a cat meow in approval. She believes her cat can help keep the mice, or irritations out of the house and make your pets at home happy about this rug. It even catches the fur from the air and makes it easy to dispose of.
