The Design Story
thand ke badalThand ke BadalSunita crafted her "Thand ke Badal" (Clouds of Winters) rug during the cozy winter days, capturing the essence of her beloved winter season onto this hand-knotted wool and silk rug. She hadn't woven for a while because of her illness. Even when she was unwell, the view from her loom brought her comfort. Sunita chose to weave the winter clouds because they painted such lovely pictures in the sky. Their simple yet elegant hand-crafted shapes stood out against the clear blue background. It's like a reminder that even everyday things have their beauty and grace, just like these clouds. The rug is not just about winter; it's about finding joy in life's small, ordinary moments.
