The Design Story
open web‘Open Web’ is a monumental, pipe-shaped installation hand-fabricated from twisted woolen strands. The work investigates the themes of material erosion and the quiet politics of spatial reclamation. Structurally, the production of the artwork stems from the artist's deep engagement with architectural frameworks that have become obsolete over time where structures that have lost their commanding authority and institutional presence. Moving dynamically from a densely woven, opaque field into an open, skeletal expanse suspended by fragile knots and exposed threads, Open Web offers a structural transition, from a state of chaotic rigidity to one of transient disappearance.
