The Design Story
“kamli ka bachpan”“Kamli ka Bachpan”Kamli has captured the essence of her childhood memories in a special creation she calls Kamli Ka Bachpan (Kamli's Childhood). She shares stories of how she used to decorate her home with hanging flower pots, the shelves in her room, trips to farms, and the fun games she played with her neighbors on her Manchaha carpet using the intricate hand-knotting technique. One of her favorite childhood games, "Ram ji ki Lakdi," is also depicted in her rug. Kamli has beautifully incorporated images of peacocks and forest scenes, which she encountered during her travels when she was young. Looking at Kamli's craft, we are reminded of our carefree childhood days. It takes us back to a time when curiosity and imagination flowed freely, creating a world of dreams without the weight of responsibilities.
