The Design Story
baateinBaateinThis Manchaha begins at the bottom, unsure and playful. Lines wobble, motifs shift . Four friends, each speaking in their own language on the loom. Qayyum starts, Ramesh follows, Roshan hesitates, Vinod experiments. The transitions feel uneven, almost accidental. They notice the flaws and turn them into design. As the rug rises, the rhythm settles. Patterns begin to listen to each other. Shapes align. By the end, the weaving is steady and unified. Four voices becoming one. Baatein (Conversations) becomes a symbol of friendship woven in turns, proof that when many hands work together, even mistakes turn into patterns, and every voice finds its place in the weave.
