The Design Story
jaadui aasmanJaadui AasmanThe weaver trio, Sonu, Madan, and Arshad started a magical journey of weaving Manchaha carpets for the first time in Alwar Jail. They were making four runners on the same loom. One of the four masterpieces is this hand-knotted rug. They began with a multicolored leheriya pattern, using the loom for the first time in their lives. They encountered many confusions and anxieties, but throughout the process, they realized that these carpets were about themselves. They started infusing their likings and passions into the rug, making it special. One intriguing element that catches the eye is a golden pot on a table, which they called "Aladdin's lamp" from which a Genie would come out. Many elements make this carpet special, including boats and a starry night in a magical pink sky depicting a sunset. They named their rug "Jaadui Aasman," making it a piece of art.
