What is Nuray?

The country of Turkey was one of the premier regions originally part of the Persian Empire. For reference, our Nuray Collection was inspired explicitly by regions within Persia, and Turkey just so happened to be a popular area for ancient rug making.

The word ‘Nuray’ derives from an ancient Turkish dialect that translates to the word ‘bright’ in English. Nuray truly embodies a collection of kilim rugs that are filled with vibrant colors, intricate geometric patterns, abstract concepts, and tribal concepts.
