The Design Story
kamyaab betaKamyaab BetaA mother's dream is to see her son's dream turning a reality. Her hard work and efforts should only translate to her son's success. Suja weaved her son's dreams into her Manchaha. This carpet is known as "Kamyaab Beta," which means "Successful son." This is Suja's first Manchaha rug. Initially, she felt that the colors of the yarn she received failed to resonate with her vision. Undeterred by the setback, she pressed on, determined to weave her son's dreams into existence. In the end, the carpet turned out beautiful. She began with "Shakkarpara" and continued with "Lehereiya." She was scared to weave as she didn't want to risk it. In moments of quiet reflection, Suja drew inspiration from the world around her. The netting on her windows and the lush foliage in her garden – all found their way into her intricate creations of her hand-knotted rug. These motifs may not have directly reflected her son's journey to becoming a doctor, but they were imbued with the profound emotions of a mother's pride and satisfaction. As Suja laid eyes upon the completed masterpiece, tears of joy welled up in her eyes. For in this rug, she didn't just see threads woven together – she saw her son's resilience, determination, and ultimate triumph. And though her role in his success may have been behind the scenes, her love and support were the threads that held his dreams aloft.
