Animal prints are a fashion favorite. This trend has been around for decades and keeps coming back in contemporary ways. For some of you decorating with animal prints might get a little confusing. But just because you are using animal print rugs does not mean you need to make the room look like a safari. We are sharing some styling tips for decorating using animal print rugs:
Going for Stripes:
One of the most commonly used prints is the zebra stripe. With a Zebra stripe rug in a home office, play area, or even living room you can create the base for signature room décor. You can use the pattern of the stripes to direct attention to the wall or a curated decor piece that you want to highlight. The directional lines of the pattern can help you take the eyes of the observer in whichever direction you like.

Mix and match
If you can’t choose your favorite animal print then just try pairing multiple prints in the same color palette for a harmonious look. With tiger pattern geometric rugs try a cowhide (faux) ottoman or zebra pillow and mix and match the room to make it interesting.
Fit them anywhere
Animal prints can be really versatile. You can add them to the most conventional-looking room and they will fit right in. A cowhide lookalike pattern hand-woven rug with bright accents on a bedroom can be a match made in heaven. Or even better put a neutral tone large rug and top it with a smaller animal pattern rug on the bedside or end of the bed for a plus look.
Using Spots
Just like stripes – spots patterns on rugs are also a great way to add to space’s textures and neutral palette while b=trying to bring in elements from the wild side. Add a green accent and you have a great natural them for your room.

The theory that animal prints have to be really loud to make a significant impact is not true. Something as subtle as an ivory-colored animal pattern rug under your furniture will anchor a room, and create the perfect base for the room's overall décor to shine. But be sure that you are ready to incorporate this fun pattern trend into your décor. Any half-hearted attempt could end up badly. It is best to start working with what you already have and adding hints of animal prints starting with the rug. It is the rug that can become your anchor and help you take your first steps towards decorating with animal patterns.
We guarantee it will add unexpected touches and lots of fun elements to a traditionally formal space.

The New Minimalism Isn't About Owning Less. It's About Needing Less Visual Explanation
