Gilded Age is a homage to the Paris-based iconic collector, decorator, and antique dealer Madeleine Castaing, who had a major influence on the aesthetic development of D’Ascoli’s early career. The collection of hand-knotted rugs is a reflection of heritage, cultural diversity, and quality. The collection features classic chintz florals scaled large and small mixed with wild cat patterns, paisleys, and neoclassical motifs are all reminiscent of Hollywood Regency and the prewar Paris flea market.
