The Design Story
kiran se neerKiran Se NeerFor this rug, Vikash and Santosh were inspired by the quiet beauty of water and the way sunlight reflects on its surface. They wanted to create something serene and peaceful, like a still water body touched by soft rays of light. As they wove, they blended different colours and mixed yarns to create subtle textures and gentle transitions. Flowing lines move across the rug like ripples, while lighter areas appear like sunlight dancing on water. Even though two weavers worked on the rug together, the composition feels remarkably seamless, as if woven by a single hand. The finished rug carries a sense of calm and continuity, where colours melt into one another, and movement remains soft and unhurried. Looking at the play of water and light across the surface, they named the rug “Kiran Se Neer” — light meeting water.
