City Story
Bidjar, originating from a small Kurdish town in western Iran, is renowned for its exceptionally durable carpets. Characterized by their compact and strong construction, Bidjar carpets are woven with Turkish knots, ensuring longevity and resilience. Weavers in Bidjar utilize heavy combs made of metal and wood to beat the weft and knots, resulting in a pile that stands upright, preventing debris from embedding into the surface. Typically adorned with the Herati pattern, medallions, or floral motifs, Bidjar carpets predominantly feature red and blue tones with beige elements, exuding a sober elegance that complements various environments. Available in a range of sizes, from small zaronim to larger dimensions, Bidjar carpets are prized for their durability, making them ideal for both residential and public spaces.
