The Design Story
dibiya ke peeche leheriya ghumtaDibiya ke Peeche Leheriya GhumtaKailashi had an obsession for lehriya and chutki-chutki dibiya (little boxes), which led to the creation of a beautiful Manchaha called "Dibiya ke Peeche Leheriya Ghumta" (Spinning Lehriya), a beautifully hand-knotted wool and silk rug .The rug personifies her immense love for her children as she says, "When these four were little, I used to follow them everywhere. But now that I am getting older, they follow me and take care of me." The passage of time is portrayed through the use of motifs of lehriya and small, shimmering dots, with her favorite colors of yarns making her excited to weave this wonderful masterpiece of Manchaha.
