The Design Story
a river of rosesJardins de Monde translates to Gardens of the World and in this collection the designer, Tatiana de Nicolay takes inspiration from the Albert Kahn’s Garden in Paris. Through this collection, the designer invites you to take a promenade through seven imaginative landscapes. As you walk past the floral meadow in the collection series of Jardins de Monde, the fourth stop is A River of Roses. The walk takes you to waterways, typical of English gardens and green trellis with climbing roses. Creating a sense of tranquility and elegance, the rug is reminiscent of an English Countryside. Highlighting the beautiful design on the hand-knotted rug is the concept of ‘Gultarash’, which means ‘finding the flower’- a process that is done to define the design and details of the carpet, bringing to your senses a tactile play of textures. The rug is knotted with premium wool yarn which not only defines its exclusivity but also assures comfort and luxury underfoot.
